Abstract

Occupational safety and health are all measures taken to preserve the lives of those who deal with it, starting with the safety of its workers and maintaining their health, passing through the clients to whom these services are provided, and preventing them from being exposed to any danger. The right to occupational safety and health results from the right to work.

Through this research, we aim to know the role of the International Labor Organization in promoting and protecting the right to occupational safety and health, by shedding light on the legal system of the International Labor Organization, to clarify the circumstances of its establishment, objectives and membership system, and to know the main bodies of the organization, to understand the extent of the agreement of the nature and process of promotion with the nature of the International Labor Organization, its position and mechanism that can be used to organize international relations in the field of the right to work in general, and the International Labor Organization succeeded in introducing reforms that eliminated the most horrific forms of injustice in a large number of countries, and by strengthening the various aspects of the work environment so that individuals feel safe, secure and satisfied with their jobs, and reach a higher level of career development, through the role of the organization in legislating occupational safety and health rules and oversight.

Egypt has signed many agreements on the right to occupational safety and health. It has taken many steps to implement its international obligations in this regard and to work to enhance the right to occupational safety and health through legal and legislative texts, including continuous harmonization of the legislative text, to ensure that local developments keep pace with international developments.
