International Journal of Doctrine, Judiciary and Legislation (IJDJL) invite the submission of research articles, essays, PhD excerpts, Masters’ theses, legal commentary, book reviews, and legislative reform proposals to be published in its first volume. Submitted manuscripts should appeal to those interested in law -including the judiciary, lawyers, legal practitioners, legislator, academics and students- informing them on new ideas and developments within the legal community. 

Manuscripts should be submitted via our online submission system, where authors are required to sign up first via the following link https://ijdjl.journals.ekb.eg/contacts?_action=signup

Following the sign-up process, authors will receive an automatic response (via email) that contains account credentials. These credentials are to be used through the sign-in process, via the following link https://ijdjl.journals.ekb.eg/contacts?_action=login

After signing in, authors can start the submission process via the following link https://ijdjl.journals.ekb.eg/author

Following the completion of the submission process, authors will receive an automatic response (via email) as an acknowledgment of receipt of the submitted manuscript.

Submitted manuscripts are required to include:

  • Title page: Manuscript title, Short running title, Author full details & affiliations and contact details,
  • Acknowledgment and Dedication (if any),
  • Abstract of 200 to 300 words. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.
  • Manuscript file, which includes the manuscript title, and the body of the manuscript including tables, figure legends, and references).
  • IJDJL accepts submissions in Arabic, English, or French.
  • IJDJL only accepts the following Word extensions (doc. and docx.).
  • Keywords: Please provide not more than 5 keywords that can be used for indexing purposes.
  • Abbreviations: In general, terms should not be abbreviated unless they are used repeatedly and the abbreviation is helpful to the reader. Initially use the word in full, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses. Thereafter use the abbreviation only.

Word Limit: IJDJL aims to publish work that is concise and readable. IJDJL length guidelines are as follows:

  • All manuscripts, “research articles, essays, Masters’ theses, legal commentary, book reviews, and legislative reform proposals”, should be limited to 20000 words, including footnotes.
  • PhD excerpts should be limited to 5000 words, including footnotes.

Kindly note that the default setting in Microsoft Word does not include footnotes in its word count. 

For Editorial purposes:

As IJDJL follows a double-blind review process, authors are requested to submit two separate Word files:

  • Cover page in a separate Word file containing the title of the sent manuscript, author(s) name(s), affiliations, acknowledgments, disclosures, financial funds and the contact information of the corresponding author.
  • Blind manuscript in a separate Word file containing the content to be published without any reference to the author or affiliations in the text or the title page. Kindly avoid self-identifying citations and references in the text.

Authorship:

All authors whose names appear on the submitted manuscript must give explicit consent for the submission of the manuscript to the IJDJL.

In articles written by more than one author, one of them should be assigned as a corresponding author who acts on behalf of all co-authors and ensures that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately addressed.

The corresponding author is responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring that all listed authors have approved the manuscript before submission, including the names and order of authors;
  • Handling all communication between the journal and all co-authors before and after publication;
  • Ensuring that disclosures, declarations, and transparency on data statements from all authors are included in the manuscript appropriately.

Plagiarism: (“Research Authenticity”)

The IJDJL requires that submitted manuscripts are written in the author’s own words, except for quotations that are indicated and acknowledged as such. Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.

"A text similarity below 15% is acceptable by the journals".

"Even in the 15% similarity, if the matching text is one continuous block of borrowed material, it will be considered as plagiarized text of significant concern." 

Copyright Policy:

The IJDJL allows the authors to hold copyrights and retain publishing rights without any restrictions. 

Open access:

The journal is an open-access journal. Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles under the following conditions: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Important notice:

The IJDJL reserves the right at its discretion to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these guidelines at any time by posting the amended terms on its website. Please check these guidelines periodically for changes.

YOUR ACCESS OR USE OF THE IJDJL WEBSITE MEANS THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THE GUIDELINES.

Article Processing Charges: 

When The author submits his/her manuscript, he/she should pay 1000 Egyptian pounds for Egyptians, and 60$ for non-Egyptians For finishing the submission steps to the IJDJL journal, the author should attach the payment document while uploading the files to the site.
PS. This amount is fixed regardless of the number of words or number of pages of the manuscript, and the number of authors as well.
Please note that the submission fees are not refundable if the manuscript is rejected. In case of acceptance of the manuscript, the author should pay 1500 Egyptian pounds for Egyptians and 80$ for non-Egyptians.

The fees will be paid inside Egypt through the following ways:
