Abstract

The role of projects in implementing sustainable development is not limited to the economic sphere, but also extends to the social sphere.
The contribution of projects to the social sphere appears in two issues that were and are still the subject of rapid development: the interest of the company as a legal person, and social responsibility. Projects have become targeting another interest besides its basic interest, which is the realization and sharing of profit, and this new interest is the interest of the company as a legal person, in order to work for its prosperity and continuity. This contributes to strengthening sustainable development.
In addition to the interest of the company, it has become obligatory for projects to take into account the environmental and social dimensions associated with their activities when making decisions, and this is the social responsibility of projects.Perhaps one of the most prominent recent legislative developments re-lated to projects is the trend to rethink the status of the project in socie-ty. To be consistent with the realities of the twenty-first century.
Legis-lation aims to establish a new model so that it occupies a fundamental position in society, and has an environmental and social dimension, and so that its role is not limited to mere profit making.
We can monitor three important developments in this context: the stipu-lation of the interest of the company as a legal person, and the determi-nation of the principle of social responsibility for projects and important companies.
These developments were not decided until very recently in some legislations, especially in the French legislation issued on May 22, 2019 regarding the development and transformation of enterprises.
In this research, we put under the sights of those concerned with corpo-rate law these developments that can be referred to in order to develop Egyptian law.
